Person Struck In Central PA Crosswalk Rushed To Hospital: Police (Update)

New details have been released after a pedestrian was rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning, Oct. 3, according to the Lebanon City Police.

A pedestrian was walking west in the crosswalk of South Ninth Street/PA Route 72 in Lebanon City when a vehicle making a left turn from Chesnut Street to head north on S 9th St. struck them, the police detailed in a release that afternoon. 

Officers were called to "a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle" in the area of Penn Corner at 10:03 a.m., the police stated in a release. 

Crews responded to the scene at 10:05 a.m., according to the Lebanon Department of Emergency Services. 

The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries, but the police explained their condition was stable as of 4 p.m. 

The crash remains under investigation by city police.
